Xcel Energy Off-Peak Metering

Xcel Energy offers two programs:

  1. Install a wirelessly metered charger that is rented from Xcel. (More affordable, less control over what charger you can use)

  2. Install a new meter to meter your charger separately. (Costly, control over what charger you use)

Off-peak metering allows you to charge your car for 1/4 or 1/3 of regular electrical costs.

Depending on how much you drive, off-peak metering could save you over $1000.00 per year.
